The redevelopment of Wenlock Road and the Brewery Industrial Estate in Hackney will provide 104 homes in one of London’s most vibrant boroughs.
BPP worked with City Style in the bid process to secure the site including specific experience of working with the sales and marketing consultant on cost/value exercises in the development of detailed fit out private for sale specifications. Through co-ordination of the design team BPP assisted City Style in optimising the existing planning consent in order to improve saleability and values of the original consent.
The Wenlock Road development consists of two blocks of seven to eight storeys and a landscaped communal garden. It will provide 74 luxury homes of which 68 will be for private sale and six for shared ownership. These sought-after properties will have commercial space on the ground floor, adding to the surrounding boutique stores.
The completed Brewery site is a courtyard development of three, four and five storeys and a central communal garden for residents to enjoy. The redevelopment provides 30 homes – five for social rent, 16 for affordable rent and nine for shared ownership.
