Redevelopment of North London Estate

BPP is working with TM Architects and Farrer Huxley Associates to develop an Urban Design Strategy for partial-redevelopment of a large North London estate.

The scheme is being developed from a series of earlier feasibility studies that TM Architects were commissioned to provide for Guinness Partnership on infill sites around the estate. The proposal is designed to utilise cross-laminated timber (CLT) construction to save time on site and reduce disruption to remaining residents.

The Urban Design Strategy will include developing a series of new streets to make the estate more legible with a major new public space at its heart. A hierarchy of open spaces will be developed from public to private with areas currently dominated by car parking reclaimed as shared amenity and play space. New community facilities will also be provided.

BPP is providing cost consultancy services.
