Working to a very challenging capital budget BPP provided Employers Agent and Quantity Surveying services along with sitting on the Clients steering group. The project comprised offices and laboratories including a significant Class 3 (ACDP) containment suite.
An interesting aspect was the use of a Japanese Design & Build company, who had previously worked with the Clients, selected under competitive tender. This involved working around technical and cultural processes to achieve a s successful outcome.
The project was split into two phases, the first phase consisting of two cubes and the second phase being a further single cube negotiated from the first phase.
