The project was procured via competitive tender under a JCT Design & Build Contract 2005.
The project was a challenging inner London infill site. The site was enlarged to include a section of public pavement requiring a Stopping Up Order. To maintain progress the scheme was tendered during the submission of the stopping up order. BPP negotiated with the contractor to take possession of the site with commencement of piling pending completion of the order. One of BPP’s Partners, Stefan Jasinski worked with the client, planning consultant and legal advisors in the resolution of the order.
To enhance the sales value for the shared ownership units the appointed sales consultant proposed a revised specification. BPP negotiated the changes in specification with the contractor and agreed a value /cost exercise with the sales consultant resulting in the updated specification being incorporated.
