On the outskirts of London’s 2012 Olympic site the Rick Roberts development consists of three blocks of two to fourteen storeys and a landscaped communal garden. The project is mixed tenure with a high proportion of private for sale units. BPP worked with the appointed private sales consultant to maximise sales income through negotiating an enhanced specification.
The site was purchased with planning permission in place, BPP carried out scheme and design audits to identify any areas of non compliance including areas of redesign to meet HCA funding compliance.
The site had several issues regarding land acquisition including contamination, demolition of a locally listed building and a mains sewer running across the site. BPP organised site investigation reports and liaised with the appointed structural engineer in de-risking the issues.
A communal biomass boiler provides heating and hot water to each of the homes and it is designed to achieve code for sustainable homes level 3.
