This new build mixed tenure scheme was the first of several residential schemes being delivered on redundant industrial land. BPP used its extensive experience in working with EHA and their legal advisors in negotiating and agreeing terms of the Development Agreement which included ‘golden brick’ arrangements and a bespoke build contract.
The pre contract lead was taken by Martin Walmsley, a Senior Partner of the Practice who has specific experience in working on this form of procurement.
BPP worked on the agreement of a set of bespoke contract documents to enable the parties to enter into contract prior to the planning permission being submitted.
To ensure value for money BPP prepared a comparative budget estimate to control costs during the design process leading to contract.
The project was delivered within the contract period and to the agreed client budget.
