BPP were delighted to attend the opening event of Leacroft Lodge, the new extra care scheme within the Hallsville Quarter in Canning Town, in the London Borough of Newham. Leacroft Lodge provides 50 purpose-built flats designed to meet the needs of residents, aged 55+ with a care need, offering independent living with tailored support for those who need it most.
The scheme was officially opened by Riverside’s Chief Executive Paul Dolan who highlighted that delivering outstanding developments like Leacroft Lodge is absolutely essential as the shortage of high quality housing for older people against a backdrop of an ageing population, is one of the key issues facing the sector today. The event was also joined by Mayor of Newham Rokhsana Fiaz OBE who welcomed the positive impact that the partnership working and the wider development had made at the heart of the Borough of Newham.
BPP’s team worked with Riverside by providing employer’s agent, cost consultancy and site inspector services on the project in developing 143 residential units in Phase 3 comprising Affordable and Shared Ownership units with the 50 unit extra care facility.
